Default Load Tester?

What is a good load tester? I'm looking to buy a good battery load tester.

Subscribed. I suspect the answers will be the cart as that is the dominant answer here.

The cart is the best load tester, because a good load tester cost to much money for a person that don't have a shop and work on carts all the time

I have one of these, and it works "okay." The first one I had died and I swapped it for another under warranty, and now the needle is sticking part of the time on this one. It seems to work pretty well when it does work, but longevity isn't its strong suit. A good load tester, like Rib said, is cost prohibitive unless you own a shop - your cart is an excellent load tester that will cost you nothing.

I have one of the cheap HF ones. It has lasted me a few years and I am happy with it. When it burns up, I'll take a 20% coupon and go buy another one

That was sorta what I was thinking, I don't need to buy the most expensive one, just something that works.

The small ones will give you a hint but they only load to 100 amps so you don't get a true reading of the battery's ability to move the cart.
