HELP!!! Club car precedent 2010 charger won't turn off
Good eveng BGW. I have this 2010 cc precedent 48 volt and it has power drive batteries dated G11. The problem with this cart is it will start up on the charger like normal but 8 hrs later it is still sitting at 13 amp on the meter. It showed 53.4 volts at this time also. The batteries get real hot and when you unplug the charger and let it sit for a minute and ck the voltage again it is at 49 volts. The OBC has been replaced and this cart did the same thing with the old OBC. I also load tested the batteries and they all showed fine. Help anyone thank you

I also tried another charger tonight for 4 hrs. And it does the same thing. It will sit at 13 amp and will not budge. Charger smells super hot and you can feel heat coming from the battery pack. Hotter than normal. It's really weird that the load test didn't reveil any weakness.

Set your meter to 20vDC and measure each battery Individually after they have been charging for a while, one is bad.

None of them showed bad. They all read 8.29 to 8.31 when I shut the charger and let it sit for a while. It's crazy to say the least.

If the batteries are connected correctly, and if you have been using the cart they must be. Then you have one or more bad batteries. Take the caps off all the batteries, then turn the charger on, if you have cells that are not boiling they are bad. Be careful not to get to close, wear safety glasses.

. . . test the individual cells with hydrometer . . . many people have found a bad cell(s), even though battery tested "good" . . .

Update. I put another set of batteries in the cart and now the meter is dropping down like it should. I just don't understand why the batteries load tested good.
