Default Yamaha G2 electric - Moving contact continues to Arc

1990 Yamaha G2 electric continues to have issues with the moving contact on wiper arm arcing and melting. I've recently done the following to try and remedy the problems with same outcome.

*Replaced all cables -4g
*New solenoid - Resistor and diode installed.
*New moving contact/wiper arm assembly.
*Checked resistor coil - not cracked

Cart runs drive just fine considering it's age/condition but cant seem to solve the arcing problem. Gonna go broke replacing the moving contact at this rate. I understand that these contacts are "wear" parts but going bad a lot quicker than normal. Any other suggestions? Have seen in previous post about possibly adding an additional cable from wiper contact back to solenoid to reduce arcing. Would this help? If so, can someone off some insight on how to wire that? Thanks in advance for response.

Take the resistor & diode off the solenoid, the diode is not needed (it is used to protect sensitive electronics, g2 has none), and the resistor is likely burning up power at all times the cart is at rest (it is used to feed capacitors inside motor controller, also not present on G2). The sliding contact and arm must be adjusted perfectly flat (parallel) to the stationary contacts. If the adjustment is off, and operation is not smooth, the arm is also at risk of breaking (and its only available in china knockoff version these days).
