Warranty Replacement
Hopefully one of the site sponsors will answer this. If I order a CC part from company XYZ and it goes bad. Who takes cares of the warranty? The company I bought it from or Club Car and who would I contact for warranty replacement.

Re: Warranty Replacement
Nobody. There is no warranty on parts.

Re: Warranty Replacement
May I ask out of curiosity what parts are you concerned with in particular? Is it part of the electrical system or a mechanical part?

Re: Warranty Replacement
No warranty on parts seems a little harsh but, consider what you are asking for. 99% of the golf cart parts sold online are sold to do it your-selfers who had no idea they could fix their cart until google brought them here. So 99% of the time when a part is bad, it has been improperly installed.
I try to work with my customers knowing that there is a 1% chance of a bad product and that it's not fair to stick the 1 in a 100 guy with a bad product. I offer a 30 day warranty against mechanical defects. Controllers, chargers, brake kits, all come with an up to 2 year manufacture warranty. We interface between the customer and the manufacture to offer preliminary troubleshooting & issue return authorizations if needed. This seems to keep both the manufacture and the customers happy. Of course we get out share of defective returns with arc welding and hammer marks on them. We do not sell OEM parts. |

Re: Warranty Replacement
I guess I should have been more clear. Dealers typically do not honor any type of warranty on parts that you purchase from them because Club Car doesn't honor any type of warranty to them.

Re: Warranty Replacement
You would need to ask yourself why should the cart manufacturer warranty any type of after market part that was installed by someone other than the dealer. I think that is one of the reasons we have the dealers install, or fix stuff on any type of vehicle.
If you want to save money, make sure you do it right. Knowledge comes at a cost some times. |
