Re: 1992 Club Car DS Electric
I think ‘92 was the transition year for the bumper, steering wheel, and the old style front body. (Which he doesn’t have anyway).

Re: 1992 Club Car DS Electric
IDK. I've had several 92 models. They all had that steering wheel. At least 2 of them had what appeared to be factory controllers. None had that bumper. I think a lot of mixed up stuff left the factory that year.

Hmmm. I thought ‘94 was the first year with an electronic controller. But you know more than me about it[emoji106]

Re: 1992 Club Car DS Electric
According to the serial number it's a 92 club car DS 36V. One old timer said the original owners bought it new when they were in their mid 80s. They lived until their mid nineties, but only used it to go to the mailbox maybe 1/4 mile away. When I got it I went and checked the front end joints out and they aren't worn, but the joints had never been greased. Had to replace all the zerks as the grease was like concrete! The original brake shoes are like only a 1/4 worn. The thing was repainted due to sitting out in the So. Cal sun. The paint is pretty weak again. After the old man died the Mrs. had a new cover installed (a little over a year ago). While the custom cover is of nice quality and workmanship, the guy that did it absolutely bent the old lady over. I have the receipt for $960.00 Yikes! Batts are up there in age (Jun '12), but seem to hold a charge well at this point. I just used this guy for my wife to run around our 525 unit park. I like piddling with it. Thanks for everyone's comments.

Re: 1992 Club Car DS Electric
Thanks guys. Anyone else know maybe who made this custom body? The folks that bought it new were in So. Cal. so think it mighta be somewhere around there. Just guessing. Seems like there were alot of custom bodied golf carts here in the park in the mid 90s. There are some still puttin' around here, but none that look like this one. I'm still not finding anything like this on the internet. Thanks.

Re: 1992 Club Car DS Electric
