Thanks for the reply. Since I'm pretty far from any Yamaha dealers, about 250 miles, who I'm assuming would be the source for this gear oil, I'll have to do some research to see if anything else is compatible.

Make sure you use friction modified...if you use regular 80w90 your more than likely going to end up with a loud squeal or drag noise just before the cart stops...
