Pulling the axle is a lot more work than just pulling the motor with it in the cart.
If the motor is stuck stuck on the axle, then you pull the axle. Usually they take a little bit of wiggling and a small pry bar and they pop right off. |

Putting it up on jack stands, and pulling the axle only took about an hour, tops.
4 bolts and two brake connections, and it just rolled right out. I spent almost that much time underneath it fighting the motor to not move. |
