Default Power washed batteries, now cart is slow

Hey All - i know this topic has been covered, but i need to ask anyways.

I power washed my 2002 DS including under the seat and batteries, and I hit them really good. Now the cart is super slow. It goes, but top speed used to be 12-13, now it's like 5-6. It's been 48 hours so i've tried to let everything dry out.

Any thoughts or ideas of what else i can do, or if i really damaged anything?

Which model DS do you have? Is it the IQ system with an MCOR or does it have the VGLIDE potentiometer?

Could be a lot of things. Either damaged or wet. I would unhook the pack and let everything dry for another day or two.

You should never powerwash that area.

And like twilliams said. If you have a v-glide take the cover off and let it dry out.

You can rest assured at the very least the Fwd/Rev Rocker switch is wet. Had it happen too many times. Pull it up blow it out and re-seat the contacts.

Since it is an IQ cart the speed sensor should be a top suspect for slow speed.

Disconnect the 16-pin connector from the Controller and blow dry everything to make sure there is no trapped water causing a signal issue on the speed sensor circuit.

I agree with the speed sensor. Do the speed sensor test. Key on, tow run switch in run. Give the cart a push. You should hear the cart beep, and feel resistance, if not the speed sensor is bad, or not communicating with the controller.
