Need for Speed
I live in a community that allows golf carts to drive on the streets. I have a stock 2017 Yahama Drive 2 that will only go 20 MPH. Every time I go any where all the other carts pass me. I would like to get mine to go at least 25 MPH. Can my stock controller be programmed to do this or do I have to replace the Controller, Motor, or Gears? This is on flat roads in Florida so loosing some torque would not be a problem.

Re: Need for Speed
I'm assuming your DR2 is AC powered. I don't know of any way to reprogram the Toyota controller. I use the rxv 10.5:1 gears, and they are about perfect for right around 26, with minimal torque loss. The intermediate shaft bearings have to be replaced as well, old bearings won't fit new gears.
