Do all motors have a bumper/snubber?
Hello, my question is do all electric motors have that little rubber motor snubber/bumper or whatever the name is to take the slop up between the end of the male and female splines? Just installed a new motor in the DS and the old one didn’t have one of those snubbers and new one didn’t come with anything. I’ve been running around getting it broke in and everything is running and sounding well but I’m curious if that additional piece should be there.

No, not all motors have them. Stock motors typically do, but some aftermarket motors don't. I believe Plumquick actually advises not using them with their motors.

This is on a D&D. I put about 12 miles on it yesterday and everything ran great and no noises. I’m gonna leave it as is for now.

Admiral also suggest no bumper with their motors.
