These engines have no rod bearings, the rod itself is the bearing. like csason said, "low oil means aluminum stuck to the crank" right now you can fix it with what we like to call , The right way. or you can fix it the right way later, it'll just cost more.

I was very lucky with this motor I am working on.. it took a little emory grease and no acid.. and the crank cleaned up just mahvelous.. both sides measured the same, and way under stock tolerances .
I'm still going to roll it a few revs before I fire it up just to make sure though..
