Backfiring Buggie
Help, I've got an 05 stock TXTand I've adjusted the valves (hot @ .004), adjusted out the spring (several times) on top of the rear, changed to Mobil 1 and the cart still sputters and backfires on a regular basis. With the spring adjusted out quite a bit, I lose alot of petal response. Before I load this thing on the trailer and drive 110 miles roundtrip to my EZGO dealer, am I forgetting anything?

Re: Backfiring Buggie
Adjust valves COLD!
Make sure that when your gas pedal is not depressed that the carb is completely closing. There is a screw on the drivers side / top that can hold the butterfly open if it is screwed in too far. There's really NO NEED for this screw and it could be removed if it is causing the carb to not completely close... |

Re: Backfiring Buggie
Has the cart always done this? Was the timing belt changed recently? Your timing may be off by 1 tooth?
