Re: Frames....
I've been welding for 40 years. The aluminum frame on my club car looked like a badly handled club cracker. The complicated fits of the frame can't be truly well cleaned. All the welds are a patch at best. Unloaded it and went with a steel framed EZGO.

Re: Frames....
My son-in-law used the HTS-2000 (www.aluminumrepair.com) to repair his CC frame and had great things to say about it. I guess the jury is still out on the durability but he said it was very easy to use. They have a video on their web site.

I'll have to check that stuff out. I'm old, but not to old to learn something new.

Re: Frames....
If you can't get your hands on a TIG welder you can run aluminum wire in your MIG welder. Be sure to use pure Argon as a shielding gas and be sure to keep your lead as straight as possible to avoid wire jambs.
Better practice on some scrap first, MIG welding aluminum is an art!!! Scott Fab Manager Welders360 |

Re: Frames....
Most of the club cars I play with tend to crack at the rear spring hangers and where the dash meets the floorboards. A tig fixed all my problems.

Re: Frames....
Sorry Guys.......been AWOL.........The jeep burnt due to a fuel line ruture right off the top of the tank.....since it was an EFI the pump just kept on pumping while on fire.....the 4 banger back fired and that was that.......yes it was the one on the trailer. Now, down to just the Kubota and the ClubCar.....I actually took 1/2" carbon steel plates and cut to fit in the webs of both sides of the aluminum beams then used 3/4" bolts and lock nuts.....so far it has worked awesome. Just for what it is.........
