Yamaha G9 Gas Steering Question
Just bought a 93 G9 with a cheap lift kit. I noticed a bracket that looks like maybe it was for a steering stabilizer. Does anyone know what this is for? It's on the front drivers side. One pic is from top and one from bottom.

Re: Yamaha G9 Gas Steering Question
I believe we have been told, it is to tow a group of cars back to the club house after a day of golf. It hooks one car to another with a special tow bar.

Re: Yamaha G9 Gas Steering Question
Yes, you can get rid of it, some carts never had it....just a tow bar.

Re: Yamaha G9 Gas Steering Question
Hey, Im new to this forum and just purchased my first G9 golf cart, when i purhcased there was oil in filter so:
1. oil change (only 1qt from what i read caused this problem) Cart runs now but it doesent have full power unless choked and when not choked only runs when you ease on the gas and woulnt run full power So i: 1. cleaned carb 2. checked all vacuum lines 3. new fuel pump and filter and drained and cleaned tank 4. made sure good seal on air box |

Re: Yamaha G9 Gas Steering Question
David, there is a plastic manifold/spacer, between the carb and the head. They have a tendency to crack, or leak and suck air, causing a lean mixture. Change the 2 gaskets as well. Might not hurt to order an exhaust gasket also!
