Question G-16 Primary Clutch Spider Q

He guys! Nice forum you have hear. just stumbled onto it!
I have been working on these things for more than 14 years. Hopefully I can provide some insight to some repairs on here.

I need your help first though.

We have a fleet of more that 60 carts. Most of them Yamers. A lot of these have the, well what i call "new" style primary clutch on them.

What I call new is the primary is the ones with the rollers that wear out. What I call the "old" style is the ones with the weights that break.

Anyway, our new style clutches are all reaching that magic age where the rollers are wearing out and the primary sticks.

My question is, how do you get the spider off of the shaft to replace the rollers? I see the kits are available for the repairs. I have tried the biggest puller I can get, and that thing still will not come off!

Thanks for you help. It is greatly appreciated.

Now off to see if I can answer some of your questions.......

C.

Exspensive little things but its a very easy fix. What a big difference after its done. Just make sure you put a little loc tight back on when you put it back together.
