I got curious and coiled the red wire and ground the white wire. Had it setting on the seat next to me. I get real weird readings when it runs. Tried two loops, three loops, and four loops. And when the engine is turned off, the display still shows weird readings??

I guess we must have bought different meters. Mine just had one black wire that looped around the spark plug lead. This is what it looks like.
If the sensor wire is too short you can simply slice an extra length on and it will not affect the operation. What sort of incorrect reading does it show a t rest? Dave |

I call them and asked about the weird display readings. The guy was real nice to talk to. He told me to use just one wrap as the display was being overdriven. Still didn't help me and I sent it back to them.
