Honda 3 wheeler 250r rear axle in a G1
I have an old electric G1, motor and batteries are no good anymore. I want to put in a gas engine (which I found) and a rear axle that will work. I've been looking for an axle but they have all been pretty expensive. My buddy and I were thinking about using a 250r swingarm and axle (they are easy to find and cheap).
Has any one done this? Any tips or advise? Pictures? Links to the same topic (couldn't find much of anything)? |

Re: Honda 3 wheeler 250r rear axle in a G1
This can be done, but be prepared for a lot of fabrication and trial and error. If you have the skills to cut, weld, fabricate, and tune, you can have a lot of fun with a live axle golf cart! I had considered it, but ended up "chickening" out because of all the fab time. Lots of hours in just designing a project like that. If you think you can do it for say $400, better plan on $1200.... Might be cheaper to find a "non running" G1 and modify that. Good luck!
