Default G9 92 service manual

Hello all,
I recently picked up a 92 G9 yamaha gas and it was missing the carb and cdi and gas pedal assembly, Well i put a new cdi in last night and a used carb..since the gas pedal was missing i used a univesal push button starter to in place of the pedal switch, now I'm trying to find out how the assembly is supposed to look so i can get all the right parts to put it back together..i managed to get it started my the push button stater as the pedal switch, but when it starts, i let go of the button and it shuts down..if i hold the button it will run if i operate the carb by hand..can anyone help me out..i also have a G1 1990 i think complete stretch chassis and motor less carb that i will sell to finish my G9 if anyone is interested..

Default Re: G9 92 service manual

Sounds like you have it wired up correctly. Golf cart engines will crank, start, and continue to run as long as you keep your foot on the gas pedal. As soon as you let all the way up on the pedal, the engine shuts off. You are duplicating this operation with the push-button switch and operating the throttle by hand. Sounds like you need to find a used gas pedal assembly including the shutoff switch and throttle cable and anything else you are missing. Perhaps one of the other members can post a picture of what this looks like on a G2.
