Yamaha G9 Light Kit
I bought a light kit, and as everyone knows that has it is flimsy and the light bounce all over after installed. So please before I rack my brain on how to secure these better can someone please tell me what they did?

Re: Yamaha G9 Light Kit
I used the biggest fender washers I could find. Stiffened it up pretty good, better than it was.

Re: Yamaha G9 Light Kit
I cut a stiff piece of plastic that fit the hole bottom side of the light housing. Drilled the hole for the light mount and glued it to the bottom of the cheep housing. It is much better now but still vibrates a little. I am now going to cut and glue a piece of plastic to the back side of the housing, dill two holes and inset a set screw in each hole.(use a piece thick enough for the set screw threads to hold) screw them in until they just touch the back of the light. Don't forget to put a small rubber plug/cap on the end of each screw to protect the head light.
Set screw holes will need to be a tight fit in order to hold the adjustment. |

Re: Yamaha G9 Light Kit
OK, Twist my arm..... I'm going to stack blocks of LEDs, 4 or 5 in a row 3 or 4 high. The off road type and each row on a diff circuit. I still got to get my wheels from Angie and my seats should be done by Friday. Might be ready to fire up on sat.
