Yamaha Drive Electric 4.3HP Motor Upgrade?
If anyone has experience with upgrading the stock electric motor on a Yamaha Drive, I would love to get feedback on the performance increase with the stock controller. I am purchasing a 2010 Drive with a six inch lift and 23x10.5x12 tires. Debating whether to use PlumQuick to upgrade the stock motor or buy a new 4.3HP motor. My goal is to get to 25MPH. Can this be done with a 4.3HP motor and the speed code upgrade on the stock controller? Thanks.

Re: Yamaha Drive Electric 4.3HP Motor Upgrade?
With the ptv code and 205/65/10 tires we average 22mph. With the ptv code 205/65/10 tires and the roadrunner motor average is 28mph. You may get the speed you want with the 23's and the ptv code.
