2009 ezgo TXT PDS Spun Hub
I have what I saw in another thread described by Scottyb as a "spun Hub". Cart will not go in forward or reverse. Loud whirring noise. Pulled off tire and wheel, braced wheel lugs and pressed accelerator. the slotted nut at the end of the axle just spins.
What exactly should I replace? Do I need to do it on both sides? Thanks. |

One side will fix it today..... the other side will be weaker and eventually probably go the same way. So why not do them both now? You get the hub and the drum pictured in the repair kit.

Thanks Scottyb. Will order two on payday. just to make sure, I have an ezgo but the description stated club car drum. Is that compatible with the ezgo.

Re: 2009 ezgo TXT PDS Spun Hub
Either you have a stripped out hub, or a stripped out hub and a stripped out axle shaft. To make matters worse, you have it either on one side or both. Pull off the wheel and hub from one side and take a look at the inside of the brake hub. You will probably find it is stripped, and does not have splines on it. If in doubt, post some pics. Then take a look at the shaft you just pulled it from. It may be OK, but it may not be. If it is stripped, then you need the hub and the shaft. Repeat for the other side......

Re: 2009 ezgo TXT PDS Spun Hub
the hubs you have on your cart now are a single piece, the Pinch Hubs are TWO PIECE......they are comprised of the EzGo hub, and the CC drum, and yes they are compatible.
