Default Brand new DPI charger not working

Bought and received a 48v dpi charger and when I went to hook it up to my cart it just sits in detection mode, no wires are loose inside the unit and batteries are at 80%. Any ideas what I could try?

Plug your meter test leads into the cart charge receptacle and see what the charger is seeing when it's plugged in.

From what I remember on my old solid state hookup, the red went to the main solenoid positive and the black to the motor a2. Do you think this would effect the charger reading?

Post a diagram of your cart wiring - negative charge lead should go to the main battery pack negative. You must read the pack voltage in the charge receptacle before you start doubting the new charger.

I have the negative coming from receptacle to negative side of battery pack, positive of receptacle going the positive side of battery pack.

What is your pack voltage read with a DVM (if pack voltage is very low some chargers will not detect it )also the DPI charger will flash error codes , also the charger port could have dirty or corroded contacts they may need cleaned
Cheers!
