2001 Yamaha 36 Volt Value
Hi All
This is my second post and I have gotten the golf cart bug. I recently looked at a 2001 Yahama 36 volt cart that was lifted with 10" chrome wheels and tires and no rear seat. It looks in very good condition and the batteries have less than 5 hours on them. He started at $3600 and is now down to $2600 which still seams high. What is a good price for this type of cart and what are the problems I need to look for? Thanks for your help! |

Re: 2001 Yamaha 36 Volt Value
I see a lot of views but no one has responded. Should I stay away from a Yahama. I can't find any other listings. Is it difficult to get parts?
Thanks |

Re: 2001 Yamaha 36 Volt Value
Although yamaha is not as common as ezgo or CC they are still great carts with find of parts, upgrades etc available. Yes $2,600 does seem high, there was a guy a month back that was looking to buy a mid 90s cart with a lift bigger tires and upgraded controller for the same price. If the batteries are new then it may be worth while ($500-1000 new) there aren't really problems with these carts but rather lots of things to spend money on and make faster, more torque, look better.

Re: 2001 Yamaha 36 Volt Value
Yamaha is in third place behind CC and EZGO, but they are still good carts. I would guess a 12 year old 36v with new batts to be worth around $1600...

Re: 2001 Yamaha 36 Volt Value
I tend to stay away from the "whats it worth" questions, because the market varies so much based on location. What might be a $2500 cart here, might be a $1500-2000 somewhere else. Your mileage may vary....also i do not consider Yamaha electrics to be third rate, change many CC OBCs lately? I have...
