Starting a new project, help with battery question
I just purchased a 2002 g-19ex (vin jr1-6057**) paid a few hundred dollars for the cart, there are no batteries, what batteries go in this unit 36v or 48v and what is the best place to purchase affordable batteries from?
Any input would be great, new to golf carts.. Thanks, Gator |

Re: Starting a new project, help with battery question
Your cart needs 6 8v batteries (48v total). If you want maximum range and life, go with a name brand (trojan, us battery). If you are looking only for light use, sams club batteries will be fine. All the terminals are on the same side of the batteries, and point towards the center, think of a rock concert, and the controller is center stage. Be careful of polarity, if hooked up wrong, the controller WILL fry instantly....

Re: Starting a new project, help with battery question
Thanks for the information. Is there a good online dealer for these batteries, my local sams doesnt stock them, and sams online doesnt show pricing etc.
Thanks, Gator |
