All "sepex" yamahas have one (G19 and newer is sepex). Most all "sepex" cars do, there are exceptions like CC Regen I. If there is a pigtail with three wires on the end of the motor, its a tach sensor. The wires are +5v, -5v, and 5v pulse signal.

dont worry,my g22 does the same thing even if we are riding and stop after about 3 seconds i will hear mine click dont know if it is the controller or syliniod,just to test it put your cart in tow and roll it back and forth a couple of inches it should not click when in tow.
