Rear Shock Advice
Good Morning all,
I have a 1984 Marathon. Runs like a dream for its age. I got it when I bought a camper last year. It was part of the deal. Anyway....I'm in the need to work on it over the winter time. I want to add a rear seat on it to accommodate my daughter for when we are cruising around the campground. I know they don't make a bolt on seat. That part I already have figured out. I need to redo the seat itself then it will be on. However the issue I have is the rear shocks/springs. The people who had the car did it right. But it looks like they welded to spring together in the rear and its kinda soft. No way it can handle a seat without it sagging. Any suggestions on what I can buy/make to fix this issue. No current pic of the springs. I can get one tomorrow of it though if need. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Jesse A few current photos. |
