Need a Battery Charger
I am trying to find a battery charger that I can use to charger my boat along with my golf cart. I have a 36 volt at this tiem and planning on going to 48 volt. There are alot out there I want ot buy one to dop the job....Not to high in price....So what amp do I neet to buy a charger for batteries in series and does any on e have a suggestion on where to look and all that

I have six 6 volt batteries and I am planning to add 2 more. This is to increase the voltage to the motor. The two new batteries are going into the bag compartment.

I have done a few of these and I go with a stand alone 48v charger. They tend to put out higher amperages...Lester makes very good chargers with 21 to 25 amps and Yamaha makes one with 17 amps. Some guys don't like the highest amp models (up to 30 amps) because of the battery heat issue. Excessive heating during charging can shorten battery life.......

I have another guestion ...Can you change from 6 6 volt batteries to 3 12 volts.....or in my case it will be 4 12 volts to get the 48 volts I want?

I am looking at this site http://www.batterymart.com/c-golf-ca...l........Where can you find a good charger that is not so expensive.....and the same goes for batteries.........what do I need to type in to find the stuff I need.. This is the first to try to upgrade

they sell a charger that will work on 36 volt as well as 48 volt...................
