spark coil issue
I was testing the spark and had a weak spark issue. Plug would spark only when I let off the gas. I tired pulling the wire from the coil and looks like the wire pulled out of the coil, so I am not sure if that is normal. Did I screw up my coil and if so can I use a cheap coil for a car instead of the 80 dollar ezgo coil for my 84?

Re: spark coil issue
No you should be good. There should be a threaded spike in the coil, with a small screwdriver clean out the hole in the coil and cut off half an inch of your spark plug lead. Now just screw it in. If you need to replace the lead NAPA sell a 24 inch cable with made up ends, just cut off one end and screw that in.

Re: spark coil issue
Cool, Thanks Dave it worked, However I only get a spark when the solenoid click on or off. With the pedal down after one first spark I get nothing until I let off the gas. The battery was dying though, if that make a difference
