Generally speaking:
If it is a series drive cart look at the rotary F&R switch to see if there is failure in the reverse micro switch or the high amperage contacts.
If its a sepex drive cart look at the F&R switch or for a controller failure

It is series .
By micro switch do you mean the forward / reverse switch on dash ?
I have not identified the controller but when I do is there contacts that I can clean in it ?

Ps....I burnt a cable last week. Do you think this brought on this problem ?

Did you finally fix this cart? I have the same problem and have purchased the parts to replace the high amperage contacts in the switch but can't figure out how the switch goes back together. Do you know of any diagrams that might be of help? Thanks
