gas carts have a battery
though my solenoid was bad when my Bulls cart would not start heard no "click"
got new solenoid and still no "click" traced wires .. all good checked the micro switches .. all good installed all new micro switches no start checked battery ... 12.3v .. good jumped starter/generator .. no start got a new starter/generator no start !!!! battery at 11.4v put it on charger it battery wont charge put on a load tester 4.5v new battery ... cart runs great so i got new battery, solenoid, micro switches, and starter/generator moral of the story ... check the battery first |

Something I tell the guys I train here on board ship is that troubleshooting is like reading a book in that to truly understand one must start at the beginning of the book not somewhere in the middle of it...

12.3V is not "good" - that is basically a dead battery, only 60-65% charged. A fully charged battery reads at least 12.6-12.7V. When you troubleshoot any problem you have to start at the beginning, not just replace all parts shotgun style 'till you eventually get to the one that is bad. But glad you eventually got it running.
