Yes if you disconnect the small black kill wire at the coil it eliminates everything but the coil itself. If you still don’t have spark it is the coil - no matter how new it is. The fact that you got it from a golf cart supplier doesn’t mean much unfortunately. As was mentioned earlier if it didn’t come in a box with Kawasaki markings on it I personally wouldn’t put in on. Seen way too many of those ENG-106 or 5133 coils die in a week or less. Sometimes bad right out of the box.

If I replace the coil with one with the igniter built in what do I do about wiring, simply unplug the existing igniter?

Does this look like a genuine CC part?

Yes if you install the unified coil / igniter you just unhook and get rid of the separate old igniter. Be
Sure to clip/ wrap or what ever to keep the wire from hitting ground.
Lots of coils will look just like the oe part, but for this part do not use it unless it is labeled Kawasaki part # 21171-2207.

Well I ordered a Chinese coil with still no fire, so I sent it back and ordered a genuine Kawasaki coil with built in ignitor, Wa La I got fire. Putting it back together checking fire at every step, so far so good!!!! Who ever said 2/3 of these Chinese coils are bad sure hit the nail on the head with this one!!!!
