Re: Replacement sealed battery for Onward?
Even with BCI standards batteries can vary a slight amount in any direction. A tape measure and two minutes can be invaluable.

Re: Replacement sealed battery for Onward?
I think that's a pretty good call on purchasing a sealed battery, I'm probably going to open up a can of worms with this post, when it comes to batteries everybody has their own opinion on what battery type to run.
I happen to prefer a sealed battery, only because I have been using sealed batteries for over 15 years, and a couple of of those batteries are still going today!!!!!! I run a blue top Optima, in all of my golf carts, for two reasons, the first one is I'm always putting a load on that battery, when I turn my lights on it looks like San Quentin prison, everything lit up!!! This battery has one of the most "rapid recharge" time I have ever seen on any battery yet to date!!! And I know you probably won't be roughhousing your cart, but my cart gets abused on a daily basis, this battery takes the abuse of a cart flying through the air off of the sand dunes, being submersed in water, sometimes covered in mud. This battery can take the abuse. No I'm not a representative for Altima batteries, I just have had good luck with every battery I have purchased, I have a yellow top Altima that has been through three trucks already and is still kicking just fine. What keeps Altima from a lot of people is the sticker price, they just don't want to come off the money for a good battery, some would rather go to Walmart and get an EverStart and change that battery out every 6 freaking months!!! Just to save the money.... Just saying..... |

Re: Replacement sealed battery for Onward?
Here are the dimensions on my Optima battery, 10 inches long, by 6 and 3/4 wide, and 7 in deep.
This is a tight fit, but it does clear everything!!! |
