Default Club Car Deluxe Beverage Unit 472...Rear End Issues

Serial # WH0409-371728

Wondering if anyone can help me figure out which rear end is in this cart?
It keeps popping out of reverse, I'm guess the synchro needs to be replaced. I'm not the most knowledgeable with Club Car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's the standard Unitized Transaxle used in almost all 97+ Club Cars, (except 4WD)

When it pops out of reverse...
90% of the time it's usually a shifter cable adjustment,
8% is a stretched shifter cable that should be replaced,
and 2% is an internal problem.

I'd start out with the cable adjustment first!

Thanks for the reply. I took the cable off and put it in reverse, it just pops right out. If I hold it in reverse with plenty of pressure it will still pop out.

my carry all 472 ennded up being a thrust washer problem. same as you would not stay in gear, just popped out. sounds like you need to dig in or take it somewhere to find out what went wrong

I’ve got this exact same issue happening with the 97 ds I just picked up recently, been searching trying to find good advice or a repair thread for this problem with possible link to parts. Looking forward to seeing what you find
