My guess would be one of two things. 1 Someone has been in the engine before and did not torque the bolt 2 The governor has been adjusted to achieve better speed and the excessive rpms have vibrated the bolt out. There is also the possibility of a combo of the two poss. ha ha Parts? I would go directly to the site sponsors. The link is at the top of the home page. You can find a broad variety of OEM and even more upgradeable parts to fit ur cart. FYI The tech section has available break down and rebuild guides to help with your particular situation. Hope this helps.

Fairly common caused by excessive rpms.

All depending on how much you want to spend and engine upgrade is a definite option, but costly. However rebuild kits for your engine are out there, but I would definitely get a ballpark on total cost simply because a motor swap might be in the same $$$ range plus a lot less trouble. Here again, check out the damage and go from there. Good luck!!
