I am curious, the bearing is supposed to be pressed on althought the Service Manual only shows it being pressed off. I just took mine apart and the drivers side was fine but the passenger side had a new bearing but the bearing came off the shaft by hand.
I had a new bearing and it went right on the axle shaft without pressing it on and has a little play. The area the bearing rides is obviously scarred and looks like the axle needs replacing. The reason I took it apart is because upon deacceleration I heard a noise back there and sure enough that is what I found. Doesn't the axle need replacing? |
