Are the driven the same? I'm trying to find a 4 cycle rear for a big block I'm doing up.. Want to know if my 2 cycle driven will work on the newer 4 cycle diff.. Thanks

Yes their is a diffrence in the clutches. The 2 cycle marathon clutch is for year 76-88. Then they make a 4 cycle clutch fro 92-up. Thats when they switched the rear end to make it shift fwd to rev in the rear end. So if you are going to put the newer rear end in your cart you will have to get a newer clutch.

Can't speak for the EzgO but most 2 cycle driven were designed to ramp in both directions, because the motor reverses the cart's direction. 4 cycle clutches are designed to go one way.......Guess a 2 cycle would work if it fits, just wouldn't be as efficient as the one designed for newer rear end.
