88 EZGO Lift Kit
Hello does any one know what the main difference in lift kits is between 1988 and 1989 EZGO gas? I have a 88 EZGO gas looking at the lift kits available they look like they mount the same. Any insight would be appreciated.

Gas and Electric are different up to 94,Before 94' Gas had coils in the rear,Electric used leaf-springs.Other than that 70's thru 94' are the same kit,other than 88'/89' -94 changed the length of the front-springs,they are 2" shorter,but the lift is still identical.

so in other words the Jakes 4" drop axle lift will work on a 88 gas. The only reason i ask is the jakes sight has a block kit for 88 and older and the drop axle for 89 and up. Looking at them they look like they mount the same.

You didn't specify that it was an axle-lift.Yes the spindles are different.88-'older use a different spindle than 89'-up.So that will be the only difference.
