Default Bought a 2008 ST4x4

I work for ATS and we do the maintenance at EZ-GO. For a long time there has been a ST4x4 just hanging around. It was sold, then came back because the golf course wanted a different car. Well it ended up forgotten about and has been driven very little since 2008. I finally brought it home today. It has 114hrs on it. It also has a cab that is metal, but the mesh type.

Before bringing it home they went thought it, changing all the fluids and stuff. Also a boot on a cv joint was bad, so they changed out the half shaft.

Something of interest to others on here is that the front half shaft for a Bad Boy Buggy also fits the ST4x4. That is what they used on mine. I know some of our parts can be hard to find, so if I can, I will try to find out what else converts over.

I have been lurking on here for a while, and it looks like the only place to find info on these.

How does the power get to the front axle on a gas 4x4? How does the transfer case attach? Just stupid things I wonder about because I've never seen a gas 4x4 in person. The BBB electric half-shaft interchanges with the gas diff unit?

From what I can tell so far, the engine and trans are mounted in there sideways, then you have a shaft to the front differential, and a shaft to the rear differential. The rear is a solid axle setup, and the front uses the half shafts.

I did not put the half shaft on myself, but the guy that did said that it came from the Bad Boy Buggy line.

I can always check the part number on mine compared to what is out on the line.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new cart. Wow - 114 hours.. that's amazing for a 2008!

Get some pictures up, it would be great to "check it out"

Scrap the part about using the BBB front shaft on the ST4x4. It fits the differential , but it does not fit the hub properly. I am glad I noticed it before damaging my hub.

What year is your BBB? We started building them at our plant about a year ago I think. I will try to help if I can.
