Default Tach Suggestions and Advise

Guys what kind of tach would you recommend? can you use a normal 12v automotive style tach or is there one for 2 cylinder engines? Thanks for the help! Ive heard that you can use an automotive one of you wrap the coil wire around the plug wire end/plug 3 or 4 times.
