Default electric motor install

Is there much to changing motors on a 2008 yamaha drive model? Thank you.

nope, remove the wires, remove/unbolt the motor, check the spines on the rear end and bolt new motor up.

I would also advise you upgrade all battery cables including teh ones going to your motor. Yamaha uses 6ga and I suggest 4ga welding cable.
