ezgo pg2 engine wont run

i have a 1980s ezgo golf cart with a pg2 robin motor i rebuilt it new piston rings all bearings gaskets new carb and seals and went to start it it backfired out carb this is with old carb on it and took the rev valve off found a stick in valve then tried again and it backfired out the ext and blowed out a crank seal i then put new carb and glued the crank seals in and checked comp only have 60psi and wont run on gas can anyone please help been workin on this for over a month thanks

and its getting spark and getting fuel just wont start

Did you use a new piston and cylinder or, as you state, just new rings. If you just replaced just the rings then either your cylinder is non concentric or your head is cracked. Either way 60 psi is not going to hack it.

what started the rebuild was i lost power and then it would go in rev but not forward so i rebuilt it and now wont start on gas

Sadly that is your answer. Horizontal engines always wear the cylinder in a non concentric shape (egg shape). This is due to the weight of the piston on the bore and is exasperated by the stresses a 2 cycle places on the exhaust port. You need to get your cylinder re-bored or purchase a top end kit.
