new headlight question
Hey guys.. I have tried searching for this on the net to no avail...
I just installed a new GTW headlight kit (Single front headlight) on a a 2007 TXT. I seem to have everything wired properly (to a converter), and plugged in. My issue is with the front headlight. It comes on, but only the center portion comes on. The left and right side does not. Any thoughts? |

Re: new headlight question
Outside ends are usually wired to the turn signals. If you don't have turn signals, this particular kit may not turn them on at all.

Re: new headlight question
Can you post a wiring diagram of headlight kit.
Sounds like maybe head lite is a hi/low beam type. If so just a matter of splicing wires from the left and right side lights to the center light wires that you have connected to your convertor so all l e d’s Light when switched on. I did this with the turn signal lights on my txt. Wired turn signal wires to head light wires along with charging yellow bulbs for white so all lights come on. |

Re: new headlight question
Cobra, if they provided much of a wire diagram, I would. The directions are pretty poor. It literally only says "red pins from harness go to passenger side lights, white goes to driver on front and rear."
It seems like it's a "deluxe" harness, however it makes no mention to what the other connections go to. The headlight only has two connectors coming out of it; one white and one red. There is a big "9 pin" connector, a purple and black near the headlight, and three wires that are labeled "brake kit" that aren't being used. I found another set of instructions online that mentioned a jumper... I'm wondering if I was supposed to get one or create one??? |

Re: new headlight question
PingEye, I believe you are right. It's a shame they didn't send a jumper to turn them on (if not using turn signals) ... or even mentioning that in the directions would have been great to save me a few hours of troubleshooting.
