D&D Motors
Anyone here ever use an electric motor made by D&D Motors? I'm ordering a new motor and they seem to make a pretty good one at a decent price - and they're made in the USA.
Just looking for some opinions/reviews from people who have used one of their motors. The one I am interested in is 170-013-0001 |

Re: D&D Motors
I've been using a D&D motor in my PDS cart for a bit over 7 years and it has performed flawlessly.
Looks like you are interested in a high-speed series motor that requires an upgraded controller. As with all motor selections, make sure the one you are going to purchase is the right one for the way your cart is set up. For instance, some high-speed motors and tall tires don't always play well together at 36V, but might be okay at 48V. Best bet is to contact D&D and give them your cart's particulars (Pack voltage, tire height, make/model of controller, what cart is used for, speed/torque goals, etc.) and discuss options with them. |

Re: D&D Motors
I've been running one for almost 5 years now with zero issues.
I agree with JB, give them a call and they might even have a custom motor (one that has an ES prefix) that fits your needs better than an off thre shelf one. |

Re: D&D Motors
I had an Es motor built from them for me. I love it. It's very well crafted, and they provided all the blueprints. They made sure I got what I wanted by making sure they knew what tires, weight, clearance, input shaft spline, cooling, etc. I enjoyed dealing with them. I haven't run it for a year yet, but problem free.

Re: D&D Motors
Vic @ D&D has helped me many times. My red coupe has a D&D motor. My 72 volt mud buggie had one not any complaints at all.
