What is the On-Charge pack voltage while the ammeter is showing 2-3A?

If it is above 42V, somewhere in the 2.25A to 6.75A range is normal. (That is 1% to 3% of the 225AH rating of a T-105)

FWIW: The 75% SoC Scotty mentions in the battery break-in procedure is a limit rather than a goal.

In other words, you don't want to discharge below 75% for the first dozen or so cycles, but you don't have to discharge to 75% before recharging. Just recharge after each use as usual.

I just went out and checked them. On the charger they are 43.5 total right now. The charger looks to be at near 0 on the meter but still buzzing it has not cut off.

It is getting close to cutting off.

44V is the minimum, but may go as high as 46V.

So my last question haha, the pack should be going all the way down to 0? I thought you said it would cut off in the 5-7 range? Glad to hear they are doing what they are supposed to be doing.

I said the amps should level off in the 5A to 7A range until the pack voltage climbed high enough to shut off the charger, but there are variances in PW-II ammeters and the capacitor, as well as the diodes, do age, so it could read less.

The ammeter probably won't go all the way down to zero, but might get pretty close to it and still be effectively charging the battery.

Keep an eye on it after the batteries are broken in and if the ammeter keeps going down to almost zero, you may want to do a few test on the charger.

Here's the manual I use for a PW-II and how to check the transformer/capacitor

Thanks! About 2.5 hours since the last update when it was reading 43.5. It is around 44 now and still going. Needle looks near 0 at this point. If those low amps aren't doing anything to hurt the batteries I am just going to let it go as you are saying to.

Thanks again for your help!

Yeah.....see....I was gonna tell you everything JohnnieB was gonna tell ya. Yeah....honest. But I was out at the range shooting my 400-Loud-'n-boomer and just got back now. I'd answer your questions in ever more detail, but right now I can't hear what your typing. But suffice it to say....I was gonna say all of that anyway. Ya see?
