Re: Roller chassis marathon- need best electrical system
I just converted a 91 marathon to 48v and I have a front and rear switch, controller and seloniod that all were in working condition when I removed them about 2 months ago.

Re: Roller chassis marathon- need best electrical system
From what I've been able to read up on so far- I think it would be cool to retro up to a TXT running gear? But can I use my marathon rearend????

Re: Roller chassis marathon- need best electrical system
I was wondering what the difference was between the marathon and the TXT models? I'm a fan of elec tech and really like simplicity. Above resistor carts what is the next simplest controller system?

Re: Roller chassis marathon- need best electrical system
Can you enlighten me to what it had? Since this roller has nothing in it I have no reference other than reads of posts. Is there a diagram somewhere and what IS this marathon called electrically? Other than DEAD..... Lmao! Would this have been the TXT system after all? Thank you man for your help- seriously. 👍🏻 |

Re: Roller chassis marathon- need best electrical system
I found those stickies w diagrams too..... My whole problem is knowing if my cart was a resistor or controller cart. StevieB may have indicated it was a controller series and u are posting a resistor cart.... If a beggar could be a chooser- I'd rather have the controller system I think. I don't have a problem making a new wire harness, that's simple- finding a good set up complete AND CHEAP is probly the big challenge here?
I found a 2012 precedent motor on Craig's List for $100 but I see it's a SEPEX Motor..... Can that be rewired into a series motor? Thanks CrashTestDummy! |
