I am a new member here from Houston Texas. We have a 2006 EZGO electric (36V) cart that we use around the airport and when we go camping.
This past weekend I had some issues that we have not had before. While driving around the airport the cart would just die. We shut the key off and back on but it was still dead. After sitting for a few minutes we turned it back on and it was fine. This happened a few times to us like it was over heating and had to cool down before going again. The day was much hotter than in the past when we used it but I wouldnt think that should have had anything to do with it. Is this a sign that there is someting going out that will need to be replaced soon? |

Hi Mike,
First off....which drive system do you have, as the electronics and wiring are not the same, if you don't know whether you have a Series cart or a SEPEX cart. look at the chart below and let us know which it is and someone will get back to you here. HOWEVER, just so you know, some of the models DO have thermal shutdowns that will do what you described.....but that could be only a symptom of the problem, not the root cause. So which drive system do you have? ezgoguide.jpg OH AND BTW.....Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy. oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!! |

My switch is the one that is dash mounted like in the far right on the chart. I would have to get out to the airport to look at anything else to determine the other items on the chart.

One of those looks like cheap fun
The PDS cart is going into thermal shutdown. It will do this with less strenuous work & more often as time goes on. Eventually it won't come back on. Look at the new XCT400PDS control with user interface. Do you wear a parachute in the other thing? |
