Default 1993 E-Z-GO Marathon "Freedom" Model Issues

I just picked up a beautiful, almost mint condition 1993 E-Z-GO Marathon 36-volt Golf Cart. Was told the batteries were completely dead and needed to be replaced. That was the only issue. So I put some batteries that I had, and I know are good and hold a charge, but I am not getting the cart to move forward or in reverse. I can hear the clicking from what I believe is the solenoid, but again, no movement.

The wiring is pretty badly corroded, but I don't really think thats the only issue.

Anyone have any ideas? Am I looking at new wiring? New solenoid? Possibly new controller too? Will try to post pics when I can figure that part out.

Move forward/rev handle a bit while trying to move ... if nothing there still and you have solenoid click it could be potentiometer. Do you have a multi meter?

Thanks for the diagram crash test dummy, much appreciated. I really think it may come down to wiring due to the condition of most of the wires. Does anyone know if EZGO sells complete wiring kits for this model? Or at all?

Pulled out the multimeter and it's dead... Time for a new one. May go to walmart later and pick one up. I will try moving the forward/rev handle and see if that could be the issue.

Please excuse the tiewraps, only thing I had on hand to pull and put the batteries in. Also a couple of the "screw-on" terminals were a bit messed up, but the batteries are good.

Just redid all the battery wiring, it's working... amazingly! But holy crap... no speed control on these models huh? Thing goes from 0-100 real quick!

Thank you guys for the Diagram... was working based off the previous owners wiring work and assuming that was correct. Looked for these diagrams on EZGO's website with no success. Very much appreciated! Will definitely stick around this forum while I build up this cart and my other two :D
