1997 Ezgo Textron moves a few feet then dies. Has little power...
We bought a cart in need of repair. The owner has replaced the solenoid and all batteries along with battery cables one to another. The cart moves "slowly" for a ways and sort of pulses as it does then it stops.
I took off the cover to the battery and found the left wire on the motor was loose. It spins inside the motor cover at the base. I was unable to tighten it as I do not have a thin enough wrench to fit the nut on the bottom. I am buying a set of access wrenches today. Is it possible this is just a connection issue or do you think I might need new brushes? I was thinking I might need to take the motor off to inspect the connection on the inside. I messed with the connection and one time it took off like a rocket then died shortly after. This one has the 36v motor on it model: AY4-4001. My guess is its original to the cart. |
