Lithium Ion Battery Hour Meter?

I take delivery on a new EZGO RXV Elite 2.0 soon, with Lithium Ion batteries. My dealer says you CAN NOT install an "hour meter" on this unit (with Lithium Ion batteries). Does this sound right? Any third party hour meters that might work?

My new 2021 S4 Elite I picked up this week has an hour meter installed under the seat. I’m not sure why the RXV would be different.

thanks for the reply.....I have a 2021 Elite 2.0, and you say yours has a factory installed hour meter? My dealer says there is not one included for my Elite, and he can not install one. Frankly, I am not sure the dealer knows what they are talking about. Is yours hidden out of sight on your cart?

You should be able to install this hour meter on your RXV. Connect the + to the load side of the solenoid going to B+ on controller and to B- for the other lead. Meter runs when KS is turned on. This is the same place that a DC-DC converter with a KS lead is connected on the same cart.

thanks for the reply.....my dealer is telling me that I can NOT hook up a standard hour meter since I have the RXV "Elite" 2.0......which has a Lithium Ion battery.....so the question is......is my dealer giving good info, or is it actually possible to hook it up as you say?

After reading this thread, I'm not sure what kind of meter the original poster is wanting to install.

Are you looking for meter that measures
1. pack voltage
2. hours cart is driven
3. energy remaining in Li battery pack
4. coulomb counter.

All I want is an hour meter.

Say.......does the dealer have a special device that they can "read" what the hours are? For that matter, is there any way we can buy one of those devices, if they exist?

I don't know. I'm not an AC type drive guy.

There are a couple of forum members that know all the ins and outs of RXVs, maybe they'll drop in soon.
