Default TXT PDS 36 to 48 Conversion FNR switch?

HellO! I have a 2004 PDS that was originally 36v with a rocker switch on the dash. I have replaced the wiring harness to be a 48v harness, replaced the controller, and motor to all be 48v. I am about to start buttoning up the cart body, but was curious about the FNR switch on the dash. Was that a universal switch between the 36/48v carts, or do I need a new rocker?

The rocker type F/R switch in a 36V PDS will work in a 48V conversion.

Not sure why you replaced the 36V PDS wiring harness, unless the original wiring was bad. Wires and switches aren't especially voltage sensitive, or at least not between 36V and 48V.

The 48v controller has a different connection than the 36v. I would have had to repin it.

So you installed a Curtis 1206HB and a 48V motor instead of going with an Alltrax XCT and staying with the stock PDS motor and will have roughly the same performance as a 36V PDS?

Yes! I bought a cart without a motor or controller or batteries. I found a working 48v controller/motor for $50. So it made sense.

Hopefully someone sees this - because I feel like I'm asking a bunch of questions - but can I use my original 36v charging receptacle with a 48v charger?

Yes.

It only becomes an issue when there are 36V and 48V carts being charged at the same location and there is a possibility of a 48V charger being plugged into a 36V cart.

However, it won't be your 48V cart whose battery pack is damaged and the 48V charger probably won't be damaged.
